One thing that puzzles me is CUDA, or a graphic card's 'CUDA rating'. So nothing startling by today's standards, but is it capable of running my Fairlight studio, would people better qualified than me think? (Machine is running Win 10 21H2) *I think* it should be useful with a new graphics card in it: it's an Intel Core i7-4790k CPU 4.00GHz, with 32GB of RAM. It has had very, very few flying hours accrued on it. However, with great joy, I'm once again Pro Tools free and want to use this machine for Fairlight. It was an expensive water cooled 'Pro Tools PC' that I purchased because we had to have a machine to 'transcode' PTX projects to Xynergi.

OK, so I disabled the Intel HD Graphics 4600 in device manager as suggested and now use the GT 640 as the only graphics card (presumably before, the graphical tasks were divided between the Intel 6400 and the GT 640) and with just one screen connected and no peripherals (I have the accelerator card fitted but I haven't yet connected the SX-36, desktop console and desktop editor) version 17.4.3 build 10 boots.ĭefinitely, I need to upgrade the graphics card, because I don't really want to 'bin' this machine if I can upgrade it.

But there isn't a display driver update available from ACER.ĭownloading the latest driver from INTEL also does not install directly, another message about no driver for my device.įollowing the instructions in the Intel article above has resulted in Intel Display Driver v30.0.101.1191 now installed and no more start-up errors with Resolve.v17.4.3. I tried the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and that did not work, no driver update but a message that my machine has an OEM driver installed and updates should come from the manufacturer ACER. I have installed Resolve 17.4.3 but I was still getting the error about the Intel Graphics Driver update required. "Article ID: 000056629 Content Type: Error Messages Last Reviewed: Error Message Appears When Installing Intel Graphics Driver 26.20.100.8141 or Newer" Search for and read the webpage with this title There's a support article on the INTEL website which explains the issue and work around. I've just come back around to this and found what appears to be a solution my issue is ACER specific but the Intel instructions are generic.

Unfortunately my system even having video drivers version 30.0.101.1069 does not work with Resolve version 17.4.2 Still at worst you can always go back to the older drivers if the current Intel drivers don't work with your system. If they don't Google thisīut for laptops it's better to get the drivers from the laptop maker.

That looks like you're five major revisions behind and countless minor ones.įirst check the Asus website for a newer one. Since latest updates to DaVinci Resolve (now 17.4.2 Build 9) I get the same error message on starting Resolve but Windows 10 updates can't find any update for the Intel Graphics Driver Ĭurrent Intel driver is 30.0.101.1069.
